Halloween Hauls from Dollar stores & the Goddamn Gallows show.

I promise this post will NOT be depressing like that last one...We are only in August & I've already indulged in Halloween Goodies & its only the beginning.i couldn't help it when i was walking through the aisles making loud gasping noises...seeing all these goodies warms my little witch heart very much.

Most of these items I bought at the 99 cent store except for the pumpkin scented candles those came from michaels arts and crafts I believe they were 3.99 or 4.99 but for a packet of 12 thats such a good deal!
Also the glass reads drink up witches ..its soooo cute!!!

Closer look at the mug and the book shelf...look its the booooooook!

One of my favorite things so far has been that cauldron candle holder again from Michaels arts and crafts..it's perfect. Also that kitchen towel & the dish drying mat will most likely be used for something else those I did find at the 99 cent store in Downtown LA.

A cauldron & my new trash bin.I found that one at fallas paredes it was in the clearance section for $3 dollars. It was plain orange but I added some stickers to make it cuter.

You can't ever have too many glittery bats! the stickers on the right side come in a pack of 15 i bought three. One had witch hats & witch boots.

Kitty Slippers, new spiderweb bin for my sharpies & pencils and yasss! that is a witch hat & the veil has little spiders on it! 99 cent store in Silverlake! except for the kitty slippers those were from a 99 in sun valley...yep I've been all over the place!
Owl scarf is all wrinkle boooo I wore this once a couple weeks ago cause it was looking cloudy in LA but that didn't last very long.So off came the scarf!
You can find this one at Kmart 4.99

excuse my stella rosa & my Kraken in the back ...focus your eyes on the purple rose with the eyeball , the polka dot pumpkin & the Spider Pumpkin.
That is it for the Halloween Haul ...for now.

Yours truly was at Alex's bar in Long Beach this past Sunday ..to see none other than The Goddamn Gallows ..I surprised the boyfriend with tickets.Did he deserve them? ...mayyybe.
Because he got me tickets to see Dreamcar..and watch me melt over Davey Havok,

Admiring the cute art they have on the restroom walls...so many kewpies!!!! Aaahhh!!!!

Such an energetic performance, they were so much fun to watch & for the first time ever I got to see the boyfriend fan girl.HA!
May I add beside being damn amazing live they were all very down to earth gentlemen & very humble. That night I also discovered a new favorite beer,Belgium Beaver peanut butter stout. It was delicious! I had three and not ashamed! would've had more ..but uhhh...had to save cash for merch too.

The handsome & talented Jayke Orvis,

When Mikey Classic tells you to make a crazy face ...you DO IT! ...(i look like my cat when he's pissed)

and that's how you end a crazy night,

Cobweb shades.

Happy June 1st!
Lets rewind to about a a week ago...
Picture the Fonz & Lydia Deetz on a lovely afternoon outing to Long Beach,it was a celebration of two years..two crazy years of good and there's been downs. everything except for boring that is something we haven't been.
Definitely an adventure! no kids yet we are still learning from each other.
But there has been a lot of talk of going on vacation this October ...Paris is a big possibility, maybe even Manhattan New York ....Portland!
I'd like to visit the doll island...la isla de las munecas in Mexico very creepy looking just by looking at photos can you imagine seeing it in person?
Another place I've always wanted to explore is cat island Tashirojima in Japan. It's every cat lady's dream to go there.*silently weeps*

ANYWAY...Back to our little date
I packed for Long beach I got a new tote bag ain't it cute? I bought it at Bearded lady vintage in Burbank. And here are the things i can't leave the house without...sunscreen,glasses,my camera, voice recorder and plenty of pens and notepads.Since i'm always writing you never know when inspiration is going to strike,

Dinner consisted of Salad,Pasta and fries of course and to compliment it we got margaritas and beer.No pictures taken of the food or the drinks cause ..i guess fuck it once in awhile just eat the damn food and not take photos. Plus we were starving I didn't have time for that. But we were a little bummed out because the bar didn;t have pabst on tap.About a year ago we went to Chili;s in long Beach and their pabst was so delicious and so fresh.Something about the beer tasting better out there.
We sat there and ordered dessert to go,and plotted on finding the nearest cemetery.
To our luck we found one! Sunny side Cemetery 15 minutes away and best part ..opened 24 hours.
There was also a Goodwill near there.
We walked around the cemetery & held hands like creeps admiring how old the place looked and we came across this beautiful statue looks like something out of AFI's the art of drowning album cover don't it?

Most of the people that were buried in sunny side had past in the early 1900s so there graves looked abandoned like they hadn't had any visitors in years. It made me kinda sad
Sunny side is pretty but its one abandoned cemetery.
We are making plans on going back next month with flowers and to take more photos of the place.

Izzy & his silly smile..(he was a little buzzed) and he had just gotten a haircut that day.
We could've stayed there longer but it was getting pretty cold and I was wearing shorts so nope nope.
On our way home we passed by the beach and we sat in traffic and I took a nice little nap till we got home.
It was a relaxing little getaway.

got some cute shots with my polaroid. :)

Later on in the week Thursday came...And this was so last minute I saw my ex-co worker/friend's snap that her band was playing their first show at the old town pub or as we call it Jerry's bar because we pretty much go to hang out with Jerry who bartends there. As soon as i found out my pupils dilated and i texted izzy and he got a hold of meems within two hours we hauled ass to pasadena to see the bloody gypsys and reunite with an old friend.
They played an awesome set, there was some spanish angry songs, and a little bit of ..how can i describe it to you.
Think bikini kill meets babes in toyland but in spanish. It was so much fun and to see my friend rocking out and hearing her sing. It's like seeing a whole different side of her.
Anyways going to end this post by saying CHECK OUT THE BLOODY GYPSYS.AND TILL NEXT TIME.

meow?

Lets rewind back to last week on Thursday. Izzy & I went hiking at the moon ridge trail at 6 in the morning..It was intense jumping from rock to rock nawwt,I'm exaggerating but we were there for a little more than two hours. We tried a different trail this time around & we kept hearing rattle snakes along the way but you get to this one point where that's all you hear and they sound so close to you and you begin to question if ...you should go in that direction..yeah its creepy but fun.I was all filled with mucus and sweat & i get horribly red under the sun.But we still made our way to back through the rocks and did the trail we did last time that leads to a water fall.Despite the water being contaminated the view is beautiful. There you will see a few people photographing the place and some ducks hanging out.I recommend doing the trail it's easy and if you get lucky you'll see little lizards and bunnies roaming around.

In the afternoon we caught dinner at Barney's Brewery in Burbank.I ordered a veggie salad it's pictured above ^ don't it look delicious? I have an unhealthy obsession with mushrooms, black olives & Avocado. It was delicious! Izzy ordered veggie wraps two paws up! & nothing like a cold ice beer to compliment the veggies. Also our waitress was super friendly & she kept checking up on us.Great service! I cannot wait to go back soon.

We then stumbled together to the mall to watch Phoenix Forgotten @ the AMC ...
that place is so cozy & best part the seats recline and there's a bar, that's always a plus.
umh..back to the feature..so? I'm really big on aliens or anything related to outer space.I was looking forward to watching this film ..but (SPOILER ALERT) a bit disappointing think the blair witch project the first one ...three kids go missing and during the entire film you never see the aliens there's just a bunch of noise and what seems to be a UFO.Just like in the blair witch you never see the witch just a bunch of noise and suspense.Overall it was still nice to go out on a little date.

The Weekend was super relaxing.....

I got some incense, candles,a predict a pen,a new notebook and a voice recorder ...what am i onto?
I'm putting together this special project thats really important to me it'll be released hopefully late September or early October.

We got this bad boy so we can play records now & it folds up into a little suitcase super convenient.
If you look closely I discovered my new favorite ice cream the brand is NADA MOO! & you can find it at Sprouts it's Birthday Cake & cookie dough flavor. It's vegan and addicting.*drools*
Izzy also remodeled his room so it feels a whole lot better less stuff and it just has some really good vibes flowing.I bought him some candles from The house of Intuition for some positive energies.
Anywho I leave you with this photo of vegan Mummy rolls we made on Saturday night.

They taste no different and they are fun to make. Till next time.

Funeral for a feline in a Pet Sematary.

This past Monday was my first time attending a cat funeral, I remember when I was 16 years old a cat had been ran over in front of my friend's house. We tried to pick up his furry body so the cars wouldn't keep running over him.But his body was so stiff...he had been there for days it was the saddest thing. We gave up and decided to call the city.
I was also 16 when I had the honor of  meeting a 26 year old cat that lived at the Pan Pipes store in Hollywood(may i mention I recently found out it was once owned by Fairuza Balk)
I don't know if he's still alive BUT i sure hope Mcmittens gets to live that long or even longer!

Back to the funeral,I packed a few things that we might need for her grave.A pumpkin shaped candle with the scent of pumpkin spice and some crosses.I also took two cans of frieskis.I saw it as Mcmittens & Bubbachee sending their condolences,to Picadilly's children & Mozzy the black cat. I regret not taking a photo of Picadilly the last time I was there.

This is Jordana & Norman, one is from Picadilly's second litter and the other from her third..I believe.

This adorable furry one was also one of Picadilly's sons, i can't remember his name
but he was seen on the front porch taking care of her the last few weeks she was there.

Morrisey The black cat & head of the Sue Place.

When i arrived to the Sue Place I was greeted by Morrissey who was sitting under the table and he began to bathe himself in a hurry. He almost seemed upset that he hadn't been warned there was going to be a guest!
But as soon as i took out the canned food from my bag he seemed delighted.Since wet food only comes once in a blue moon or for special occasions.
Marie & I sat down had a few beers & Mimosas...because we've traded in the Jameson & my personal favorite the Kraken for mimosas....just for a few months.
Anyways we ordered Veggie pizza & then headed out to
the backyard.

3 feet under and possibly the cutest grave....the thought of my friends backyard being indian burial grounds crossed my mind too...what if ? She comes back to life but evil.Oh if only.
Oh C'mon Winston Churchill was still very adorable when he came back,
On a serious note.
Watching my friend bury one of her children was really tough.
I bawled like a baby afterwards.I don't wanna think about when it's time for mine to leave me.
What amazes me the most was she made her way to my friend's house and it was almost like she was waiting for her to get home so she could rest.
We love and miss you Picadilly Pelare you were a sweet cat & we'll forever remember you.

We baked cute cupcakes afterward to lighten the mood a bit.

I leave you with this ..I don't like cat funerals.I feel it's more heart breaking when animals pass...I see them as innocent beings that do no wrong...so go home and give your litto furry one a tight hug.
